…aside from the fact it’s VERY stressful!
When you pull together a content strategy and plan it’s important to know that different kinds of content has different purposes.
We have content for:
- Awareness – getting as many eyes on you as possible, which will be your videos that go viral
- Nurture/Engagement – the content that deepens the relationship with your audience and prompts them to engage with you
- Conversion/Action – the content that prompts viewers to follow your or take another action, such as purchase a product or sign up for a mailing list
Going viral too often can actually have a detrimental affect on your audience. Our aim in TikTok growth is to not just get follows and views, but to get the right follows and views. By which we mean the viewers who’ll become your community and long-term fans.
If you constantly go viral you’ll be speaking to such a massive range of people that it’s almost impossible for them to always be the right kind of people.
We can demonstrate how this ‘funnel’ of content looks like here:
Is going viral/getting big views important? YES! We need it.
But don’t get hung up that it’s not happening often enough for you – as long as you’re not stuck in 200-300 view jail, slow and steady view growth is exactly what you should be seeking.
